Intuitive Massage Therapy & Horse Medicine in Lac Ste. Anne County

Natural grounds at Hoofstone Acres and Treestone Massage, offering intuitive massage therapy and horse medicine near Alberta Beach.

My work is rooted in service. I guide
people back to themselves through therapeutic touch, horse medicine, and time spent in nature.

Many of us get pulled away from our bodies, our instincts, and our sense of belonging.

I create space for people to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what matters to them. Through hands on healing, horse medicine, and time on the land, clients settle their nervous systems, listen to themselves, and find some peace.

I believe healing often comes from returning to the simple things. Connection. Presence. Touch. Relationship. The natural world.
The horses, the land, and the work itself act as guides, helping people remember who they are underneath the stress and noise of everyday life. There is something older here too. The body holds stories that go back further than one lifetime, and when we slow down
enough to listen, we reconnect not just to ourselves but to the people who came before us.

Healing, in that way, becomes a return to where we came from, to nature, and to the way people used to live closer to land, animals, and each other. This work is about creating the conditions for people to find their own wisdom and resilience again, and to remember that they are already whole.

Intuitive Massage Therapy

Massage therapy with me is a quiet, intentional space to come home to your body. Each session begins with a brief check in so I can understand what you are carrying that day, physically, emotionally, and energetically. From there, I work intuitively with your nervous system, following the cues in your tissues, breath, and holding patterns to find where your body is asking for support.

Every treatment is responsive rather than a set routine. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to unwind tension, soothe overworked areas, and bring attention back to places that get overlooked. Pressure, pace, and focus shift moment to moment, so your system can feel safe enough to soften and release. Many clients feel deep rest, a nervous system reset, and more clarity after a session. Massage can help with pain, stiffness, stress, headaches, and fatigue. It can also open a gentler relationship with your own body, one where you feel more grounded, present, and able to listen to what you actually need.

Client Reflections

Like so many people, I had grown used to living with constant stress, a racing mind, and a body that never seemed to fully relax. Truthfully, I had never been someone who enjoyed massages. I'd only had a couple before, and they never really resonated with me, so I walked into my appointment with Janet not expecting what I was about to experience.

From the moment I met Janet, I felt genuinely cared for. She has a beautiful way of holding space that is quiet, compassionate, and completely free of judgment. There is something special about the way she listens, not just to you, but to your body. It's as though her hands instinctively know exactly what you need before you even realize it yourself.

Every massage with Janet is more than just physical relief. It's a chance to exhale, to let go, and to reconnect with myself in a way I didn't know I needed, I leave each session feeling lighter, calmer, and more grounded than when I arrived.

I never imagined I would become someone who looked forward to massages, but thanks to Janet, I am now a regular client. Her gift is so much more than her remarkable skill, it's the care, intuition, and healing presence she brings to every treatment. Her hands truly are magic, and I feel incredibly grateful to have found her.  - TR

Horse Medicine

Horse medicine is an invitation to step into the world of the herd and let their wisdom meet what you are moving through. Sessions take place quietly alongside my own horses, in their environment, with no expectation to "do" anything or perform. We slow everything down so you can arrive in your body, notice your breath, and simply be with the horses as they are.

I stay in close, attuned presence with you and the herd, watching for the subtle ways the horses respond, through their positioning, gaze, movement, or stillness. These natural, spontaneous gestures often reflect what is happening in your body and emotions. Together, we explore these moments, and let insights, feelings, and shifts arise at their own pace.

There is no riding involved, and no prior horse experience is needed. You may stand, sit, lay, or walk with the horses, sometimes
in silence, sometimes in guided reflection. Being around the horses often brings a sense of grounding and softening in the body, helping you release tension you may not have realized you were holding. Many people leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to themselves, to the land, and to the horses who spent that time with them.

Client Reflections

I’ve attended multiple Horse Medicine sessions, and each one has been profoundly different and meaningful. Every time I leave, I feel like a different person, more grounded, more present, and with a nervous system that feels regulated and at ease. The horses have a remarkable way of reflecting exactly what needs to be seen. I’m always amazed by the clarity, peace, and personal growth that emerges from these sessions. Janet creates a safe and supportive space for transformation, and I highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking personal growth, emotional healing, or a deeper connection with themselves.

Thanks again for opening your home & herd to such beautiful work -SS
